With a full schedule of rehearsals and performances, it may be a busy weekend – but there are still plenty of opportunities to make the most of your time in Vancouver. From casual meetups to nightlife and local tours, optional activities offer a chance to connect, explore, and experience the city alongside fellow delegates.

Featured Activity: The Really Gay History Walking Tour – Sat, Sun, Mon at 2:00 PM

This private tour for Unison delegates and friends offers a deeper look at Vancouver’s 2SLGBTQIA+ history through a guided walk in the West End and Davie Village. The experience blends historical research with engaging storytelling to highlight the people, places, and events that shaped the city’s queer community. Along the way, you’ll hear stories of activists and performers who helped drive social change, and visit sites connected to protests, community organizing, and cultural milestones.

The tour runs approximately two hours and covers about 2 km at a relaxed pace. The route is wheelchair accessible. You’ll finish up in the heart of the neighbourhood with time to explore nearby cafés, bars, and restaurants after the tour.
