Home of NeuroMagical Humans and 2, well-mannered Sibling Cats! Our home is fun and colourful with evidence of preteens having fun (crafting, LEGO, projects, marimbas, boomwackers!). We are clear about our nervous system needs and support others getting their needs met, too! We value clear and direct communication. We are a homeschooling family with a Mom, Dad, & 12 year old daughter. We are funny, good-humoured, progressive lovers of Social Justice.
We have an Upstairs Living Room (and another downstairs!), and the Queen-Sized Mattress is in an extended area that is out of the way of the main shared spaces. We can provide privacy curtains/barriers, but it is open-concept. We also have lots of room on the floor and fancy comfortable "Exped MegaMat" camping mats that are luxury!
Our home is an hour drive from the Queen Elizabeth Theatre by direct vehicle, and 1.5 hours by transit. Street Parking available. We have stairs. 3 bathrooms, each with a bidet. One Shared Kitchen. Fragrance Free, we are happy for you to use our laundry detergent (washer & dryer). Wifi is avaialble. We are vegetarian. If you prefer meat, we ask that you warm it up quickly and discreetly (we have a special pan for that!).
We are generally morning people, and are gracioius with guests and their needs! I do love bedtime, so please avoid being loud in the kitchen after 8pm. You can have the key code and let yourself in and out as needed.
If you are staying on a Tuesday, we have Girl Guide Meetings and may need to work around that.
While the distance between White Rock and Queen Elizabeth Theatre is an hour, and that could be a barrier, we are close to beaches in White Rock and Cresent Beach and the USA Border (which is not necessarily a perk right now, #ElbowsUp!, but it remains factually true.)
