SOCIAL EVENTS COORDINATOR - UNISON FESTIVAL 2026
The Vancouver-based Planning Committee is looking for a Social Events Coordinator.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, detail-oriented and dedicated person who can work both independently and as part of a dynamic team. The Coordinator will report to the Festival General Manager, and will also work in collaboration with the Festival Artistic Directors, the Unison Administrators, other Coordinators, as well as festival volunteer committees.
The Coordinator plays a lead role and will research, source, organize, promote, and execute the social events and activities that form part of the Festival schedule.
The overall objective is to be able to provide a variety of social events that not only celebrate the diverse interests of Unison members, but also highlight activities that showcase and/or celebrate Vancouver and its culture. Without limiting ideas, these could include a harbour cruise, a museum tour, a drag show, a cocktail party with a featured guest artist, an evening at the Vancouver Aquarium, a sports event, …… or anything else.
Delegates and guests will have the option of choosing one or more activities, thus selections should include a numerous themes as well as price points. Once activities have been selected and confirmed, the Coordinator will ensure that administration and events run smoothly, and act as liaison with local partners and supporters.
